“Notebooks, notebooks everywhere, touch them husband, if you dare”
Okay, not my finest bit of writing, but there are days when I feel like stapling a notebook to my husband’s forehead so that he stops pinching mine!
I’m a little obsessed with list writing; one for jobs around the house, one for projects, one for seasonal projects, one for admin to be done, one for makeup plans…. you get the point. And when I’ve carefully set aside a notebook for one particular ‘area’ of my life, it does frustrate me when I flip to a new page to find a list of engine part numbers for my husbands motorbike/car/trike/ *delete as appropriate*
So, this one, this one right here, is mine. All mine.
I mean, what man in his right mind would open up such an obviously feminine notebook and fill it with greasy finger prints and scrawled part numbers?
(I will report back if he does decide to write in it…)
But back to this notebook. I don’t actually have a ‘role’ for it. I just fancied using the beautiful Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper that I love so much, with the effortlessly elegant Wisteria Wonder colours, and this is what happened!
So pretty, so girly, so me!
I’ve simply recovered an A5 writing pad with Naturals White cardstock, layered on a square of Wisteria Wonder cardstock, a layer of the beautiful papers, then accented with the ‘Oh, Hello’ from the Oh Hello stamp set, fussy cut the chevron design and brought in some buttons and chevron ribbon, both in the Wisteria Wonder.
I love this combination of the Wisteria Wonder and the Afternoon Picnic. If you do a search on here, you’ll find I’ve made other similar coloured/styled projects, but there are times when something just works, so why change it?
I really hope you like it, and are inspired to decorate your own notebooks.
I don’t actually recommend stapling notebooks to your husband’s foreheads. Well, not unless a hospital is close by…
But today’s question is… What food can you not live without at a picnic? For me, it has to be cheese sandwiches. I’ve no idea why, it’s not something significant from my childhood, but to me, a picnic isn’t a picnic without a cheese sarnie!
