Stampin’ Up! UK Modern Medley Meets Mosaic Madness
Okay, so that was quite a lot of alliteration going on there, but it does exactly what it says on the tin! Well, with a smattering of Daffodil Delight thrown in aswell!
I have absolutely adored playing with the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper, and matching it up with embossing folders is just fabulous! This time though, I wanted to reflect all the matching elements of that mosaic style design on the paper, and for me, this just bellowed BRIGHT YELLOW at me. Don’t ask me why, it just made sense at the time!
So my ‘recipe’ for this card is a Basic Black card blank, a layer of the Modern Medley DSP, and a matching layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock which I ran through the Big Shot using the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. Then I decided to get out the Mosaic Madness Stamp Set and the matching Mosaic Punch and some black Stazon and Daffodil Delight inks. I love how these look together, particularly with the Basic Black and Daffodil Delight Candy Dots. Finally, I finished it with the Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon and a layer of the Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon. And yes I know that’s edged in white, but you’d never notice it… I hope!
After that, I popped up the 4 black mosaics on dimensionals and double mounted the yellow one to give it a little extra lift.
So this card really could be for any occasion. And to be truthful, probably any gender too!
Well, what do you think? Do you like the Daffodil Delight with the black?
