Stampin’ Up! UK A Modern Soft Sky Medley
So, are you still with me? Still hanging in there while I continue to share my love for the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper?
This particular pattern, with the soaring birds (which we are in debate as to whether they’re swallows, eagles or something else!) just made me think of inspiration. I see them as a free bird, flying off to freedom, to dreams to follow, and to ideas yet turned into reality.
I use a phrase in both my makeup and paper worlds. I talk of ‘flexing my artistic wings’ when I’m given free rein to create; whether that’s a makeup look, or a crafting project.
I thought I’d share a makeup project where this very thing was allowed. I was given a small brief, but after that I was allowed to flex my artistic wings (!) and as a result of that, my work, which was part of a fashion show with youngsters as the designers for the clothes, was used as an inspiration point for future projects.
And as you know, my imagination and mind wanders in various directions, so while working on this card, I remembered the blue I’d used in the makeup look, and decided to incorporate Soft Sky into it to lift it that little bit more.
I also wanted to bring in the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, because all the time I’m flexing those wings, I’m grounded by the people around me – my family, my team, my upline, my peers.
So I hope you like my inspirationally based card, and my opportunity to share the other side of my life.
