Stampin’ Up! UK A Modern Blushing Christmas Bride Medley
Ha, did you see what I did with the title there? Popped all the elements together and pretty much got a sentence out of it!!!
I’m still working through my Modern Medley Series, and this one I really love. Who says you have to have a Christmas in ‘traditional’ colours (please refer to this morning’s post….!)? not me! My husband’s sister has a tree in her lounge that has purple fairy lights on it, and one in her kitchen with blue lights. And I do recall her once having a tree that was covered in pastel blue, lilac and pink baubles.
I do wonder if that’s a British thing though… those of you who are overseas, is this peculiar to us??
Anyway, this time though, I decided to take my slinky, sexy, stripy Modern Medley DSP and mix it up with some Embossed Very Vanilla Cardstock. The embossing folder is a brand spanking new one in the Seasonal Catalogue – Stylish Stripes. And it really is,isn’t it!
After that, it was a no brainer to pull out the Very Merry Tags stamp set, and use the stripy Decorative Label Punch shaped ‘Naughty Nice’ stamp. This, I double stamped – once in black Stazon and once in Blushing Bride, popping the inner Large Oval Punched shape up on dimensionals.
And when you’re using Blushing Bride, you have to have ribbons and pearls, although I decided that this particular bride would have buttons instead. Blushing Bride ones of course!
Simple things keep me happy, and these few tiny elements, which I believe make all the difference, are what makes this card elegantly pretty. Well, to me it is!
