Stampin’ Up! UK Any Colour Heat Embossing? How to…
Well, following on from the Triple Time Stamped and Embossed card from earlier in the week, this was one of the other projects that Cathryn and I did in our one to one.
It was to delicately decorate a small handbag size notebook with layers of soft pinks and soft browns.
I chose Crumb Cake as the actual notebook cover, but added in a layer of Blushing Bride Cardstock before the final layer of Very Vanilla.
This bit we had fun with. There isn’t actually a Blushing Bride embossing powder, but you can actually emboss any colour ink that you like.
Simply take your stamp, ink it with versamark, THEN ink it with the coloured ink of your choice. Stamp it down, and uppermost will be the clear versamark. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder, heat with your heat tool, and “tra la!” Blushing Bride Heat Embossing! So clever, right?!
I will say, even without heat embossing, Blushing Bride onto Very Vanilla doesn’t show as a ‘pure’ and ‘true’ Blushing Bride, but that’s the same if you stamped it onto pistachio pudding, or marina mist. Basically, any colour other than White.
But anyway, back to the notebook.
So, we used Everything Eleanor for this, and the swirly curly image called for a layer of Cotton Trim, with a layer of Crochet Trim over that.
All we had to do was add the sentiment. And in a craft class? Can only be Create from the Loving Thoughts set can’t it!
So, simply stamped, this time only in versamark, with clear embossing powder, we punched it using the Word Window Punch, added a Modern Label Punch of Very Vanilla and edged it with a trio of pearls.
Simple, elegant, and a little bit of mystical magic in the coloured embossing!
We hope you like this, an I can say we, as Cathryn has recently joined my team of Pootlers, and I hope that she too will be bringing creations your way soon!
