Stampin’ Up! UK Modern Medley, My Friend
Monochromatic Look. You other love it or you hate it.
I love it, although if you’ve been following my series, you’ll know I like to add a pop of colour, but this time, I kept it to the Basic Black and the Very Vanilla.
This time, I used the book page and decided that well, books and paper are made from wood, so using the Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder just was, well, okay, perhaps too literal, but I like it!
I love the vanilla look, and the Cotton Trim is my most used ribbon right now, and a long strip down the middle made sense!
I love the fonts of our stamps, and the ‘my friend’ from the Six Sided Sampler was just right for this! I stamped it onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, punched it using the Word Window Punch, then taking a tab, I shortened it a little so that I could have a full length Basic Black one as a background. And the Very Vanilla candy dot accent seems to add just that little extra.
And now, with the growing love of buttons, and the lessening fear of them, a trio of Basic Black mini buttons down at the bottom was a quirky extra that seemed right for no other reason than I liked them!
I hope you like it too!
