Stampin’ Up! UK Thinlits Winter Frost
Well, on Thinlits Card Dies Launch Day, I could only post a thinlits card really couldn’t I!
This is such an easy way to create a card, literally, it does all the cutting and scoring for you, all you have to do is fold and embellish!
Actually, there is a smidgen more too it than that, but only a smidgen!
I cut the main card in Island Indigo, and then cut another but in the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper. I decided to have that as a background, so I got out my Stampin’ Trimmer, removed 1/8th of an inch off all 4 sides, then sliced the circular section off completely. That gave me the toning layers.
After that, I simply punched 2 circles of the DSP using the 2.5″ Circle Punch, one for each side, and offeset layered them. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Wishing You stamp set twice, using Island Indigo ink. I punched one using the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle, and then a second plain white Scallop Circle. With the second ‘spare’ sentiment, I simply grabbed my Word Window Punch, punched it, popped it up and away I went, having sponged the edges first of course!
The 2nd Scallop Circle? that’s on the reverse. Got to have somewhere to write your personal message after all…!
And to embellish further, so I took the Star from the Merry Minis Punch Pack (not in the catalogue, but available online!) and punched 6 out of Island Indigo cardstock and decorated them all with Rhinestone Crystals.
Pretty, simple and great to give away. Or keep, if you’re so inclined!
I hope you like it!
