Stampin’ Up! UK The Simplicity of Happy Days
Some weeks ago, I was making swatch packs of cardstock for my new downline members, and realised that I’d barely ever used Rose Red cardstock or ink.
I know, shock horror, pick yourselves up off the floor… It’s outrageous, right? Well, I had to get that sorted straight away, so that evening I whipped up this little card!
It’s really simple to put together; a card blank of Sahara Sand cardstock was the base, with a layer of Whisper White cardstock over the top, that I’d wrapped with a triple layer of Old Olive 1/8″ taffeta ribbon and a triple layer of Linen Thread (I so love that stuff!).
After that, I punched out 15 Rose Red flowers using the Itty Bitty Punch pack and pretty randomly scattered them onto the card, using my ever faithful mini glue dots.
Each had a minute pearl added to the middle, then a handful of others were scattered in amongst it all.
Finally, using the crisp, sharp Black Stazon ink, I stamped the ‘Sweet, Sweet Moments’ from the Happy Days stamp set into the top corner and accented that with a trio of tiny pearls.
I love how this card came out, a totally unplanned card that was born out of the realisation that sometimes I need to use colours outside my comfort zone.
I hope you like it too, and perhaps you can scatter some flower on a Happy Day too!
