Stampin’ Up! ADVENT COUNTDOWN 11 Envelope Punch Board Candy Cane Box
Oooo, it’s not Christmas if there isn’t a candy cane about…. Or is that just me? No… Surely not!
Ha ha, yes you there in the back, the one with a big stash of candy canes. Share please!!!
Anyway, this is such a quick and easy project, and it uses 3 tiny glue dots to adhere. That’s it. 3 glue dots. I’m so good to you aren’t I?
But, the secret to this is the Envelope Punch Board.
I have to confess, at first I couldn’t see beyond the ability to make envelopes, but the more I played with it, the more things came out at me. Yes, I’ve seen all the YouTube videos of crackers and file folders and treat pouches and boxes made from DSP, but I wanted to make a stronger pouch. One that wouldn’t crease or buckle under pressure.
So mine, and as yet, I haven’t seen one like it, has extra walls, and by their narrow depth, they are remarkable strong little walls!
So, without further ado, here’s the video (CLICK HERE!!!) of the walled candy cane holder that uses a mere 5.5 x 5.5″ (14 x 14cm) sheet of DSP and 3 whole mini glue dots….! Oh and the Envelope Punch Board of course!
And don’t forget, registration is now open for the Envelope Punch Board Class that is going live in conjunction with Envelope Punch Board Week which starts on Sunday!

I’d most definitely like to hear from you! I have a YouTube channel (over there on the right!) and you can find me by searching PootlesPapercraft, Pootles Paper Craft or Pootles Papercraft! (I like the variety!)
Sam, I made these tonite and decorated using Halloween colors, with spiders, ghost, witch hat/broom, going to give out for Halloween. Thank you for the tutorial.
Oooo spooky!! x
I found your site (by complete accident) while I was on break for the Christmas holidays. I got to the point where I was covered up in bed eating popcorn watching you make boxes. I enjoy crafts, I do it (decorate party boxes) primarily for my niece’s bday. You inspired to give serious consideration to getting some stampin up ink pads and stamps. I even got a 2nd job to cover the expenses (lol!!) You don’t see craft demonstrations here where I am, so I would buy more to make and sell products.
I wish England wasn’t 11 hrs of plane travel away.
I absolutely LOVE your creativity. I am teaching my niece basic crafts (paper piecing) but she always wants to make a box when she makes a gift for someone.
Anyhoo, I am blabbering on and on and I only wanted to say that I really love your channel and talent.
What brand and size candy canes used here in this project. I am here in USA/ Pennsylvania and it seems our candy canes are larger. Thank you I love all your wonderful ideas. Lisa
