Stampin’ Up! UK Undefined Stamp Carving – A Result???
Okay, so I braved the tools and carved my own stamp.
Technically, I carved 2, but you really don’t want to see a wibbly legged Gingerbread Man, and no, no matter how much you ask, it’s so not going to be shown in public!
It was super easy to carve the stamp, the hard part was sketching the design. But basically, I punched a Fancy Flower and then used that as a template, and drew my design inside it.
For a first attempt (well, 2nd!) I don’t think I’ve done too badly. You definitely need to keep the carving tool practically horizontal so that you don’t gouge into the rubber and instead, you just gently shave bits off.
So after carving it, and being a bit ‘clever’ and making sure the inner section would also fit the 1/2″ circle punch, I just stamped each twice in different colours of Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette and Primrose Petals, and away we went!
But it was a lot of fun!
And my finished card is kinda cute too. Isn’t it?
I hope so!
