Stampin’ Up! UK Brights Week – Multi Coloured Punch Showcase
12 Deals of Christmas – details down at the bottom!!!
Hmm. Brights Week? What’s that? (I heard you back there…!)
Brights Week is a self appointed week dedicated to showcasing our gorgeous Brights Collection of colours. We have ribbons, trims, buttons, bags, papers, inks, cardstock, and more.
My thinking behind Brights Week when I was planning my work calendar was that right after Christmas, when we’ve taken down those brightly coloured baubles and decorations, when the sky looks like it’s desperately trying to snow and gives up and rains, and it’s just a bit dim, dull and grey.
So with tomorrow being 12th night, and the day we take down decorations, I decided that Brights to make us feel more lively was the way to go.
And therefore, I wanted to showcase all our colours in one go with the first project.
I’m a punch girl. You know that. And I’m also a simple-styled-card kind of girl, so I wanted it to be as fun and funky as possible.
I will confess, this has come out looking a bit more ‘retro’ than it was looking inside my head, but as I rarely ‘build’ a card before actually making it, what you see here is literally as I put it onto the card!
It’s super simple to make, and is all about punching.
I first took my 3/4″ circle punch and punched one of each of our colours – Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point.
Then I pulled out my Little Labels Punch Pack, and one of the designs is a more rounded size, so I decided that would be my ‘window’. So I punched that 10 times into Basic Black cardstock, then grabbed my Large Oval Punch and punched around those windows to get the shapes you see below.
Adding the colour panel but getting depth meant chopping loads of dimensionals down, as I really only had milimetres of space to work with, but I put them around the edges of the little label window and then added the coloured circles to that.
After that I just randomly placed them on the card, aiming for a sort of ‘trail’ from the Rich Razzleberry to the Pacific Point. Candy Dots finished them off, then I just needed to stamp the Hello from the Four You stamp set and punch that out using the same Large Oval Punch.
Not exactly what I imagined when I first started the make of this card, but a good any-occasion card perhaps?!
Enjoy Brights Week, there’s videos and more projects to come!
12 Deals of Christmas.
So, what’s this all about? Well, I don’t do sales, and I don’t do discounts. In my professional opinion, Stampin’ Up! offers the best quality products at the best prices around (and with over 10 years crafting experiences, trust me, I’ve tried ‘em all!). So you won’t ever see me offering to reduce the prices of products, or sharing my discount. But what I want to do, as a one off, just for Christmas, is offer 12 extra goodies that go into the regular Thank You Gift Pack that I send out to all my customers.
Each ‘deal’ will only be available for the stated day, and will vary in price, product and value.
I get an immediate email notification of all orders that come in, so you don’t need to worry about getting in touch, or emailing to say you want to take advantage of the deal, I’ll send it out automatically.
All orders over £45 will receive a Smooch Spritz from me, inside their regular Thank You Gift Pack. It will come direct from me, as this is an offer direct from me. It will not come with the order you place.
Fine Print. This is not a catch, there is no single winner, this is not a competition. Please do not add it to your order, (unless of course you want duplicates!) as I will be sending this separately.
All Thank You Gift Packs will be posted after the 12 Deals of Christmas have finished.
I hope you enjoyed this virtual workshop, please do use the hostess code to support Pootles! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for the current one!)
