Stampin’ Up! UK Brights Week Gorgeous Grunge Button Card
Oooo, are you enjoying Brights Week?
I’ve had a lot of fun creating these projects! I do love a good funny, sunny bright card!
However, sometimes it’s okay to mix it up a little and throw in some black just to make those brights stand out.
And I just love to mix my colours in a ‘clash’.
Hands up those of you who were told as children that Pink and Red didn’t go together. It’s like ‘blue and green should never be seen’ and apparently ‘red and pink would make you blink’ or something similar.
But I love our hot pink Melon Mambo, and love how stunning it looks with Real Red and Basic Black.
So my card today is all about showcasing those 3 colours, and I felt Gorgeous Grunge was the best stamp set to do that!
But it needed more. More I tell you!
So I pinched a Real Red button from the leftovers of my Merry Little Christmas card set, took one each of Melon Mambo and Basic Black and ‘stitched’ them into a triple layer of Whisper White bakers twine.
However, if you look closely, you’ll see extra dimension has been added for the card itself. Basic black card blank with a popped up layer of Basic Black. And a mat of Whisper White cardstock with that final top layer popped up.
Sneaky cheeky extra lift huh?!
I hope you like it, I love this card. Although my horrid husband said “oh no, did you spill some reinker?” *facepalm”
I hope you enjoyed this project, please do use the hostess code to support Pootles! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for the current one!)
