Stampin’ Up! UK A Strawberry Espresso with a Blushing Gorgeous Grunge!
Okay okay, I admit it. I am a little late to the Gorgeous Grunge party, but I blame that on knowing I was going to be given one for free at Convention, and having to wait 4 months between the stamp set being newly released, and convention actually happening.
However, now that I have this little baby in my hands, I really can’t stop using it!
Christmas cards, thank you cards, birthday cards! I’ve made splats, stars, splodges and statements. (and apparently an overdose of alliteration while I was there…!)
But I do love it, and I love how it allows me to use a few different colours, but without it being an assault on the visual senses!
Step forth a card with a trio of colours, but without the eye achingly colour clash that could have happened!
My ‘ingredients’ for this card are really simple. A card blank of Early Espresso Cardstock with a layer of Whisper White which I stamped directly onto using the same spatter-style stamp from Gorgeous Grunge, inked up in Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush and finally Early Espresso.
And with the Early Espresso ink still in my hand, I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Elements stamp set, punched it using the Word Window Punch and popped it up on a Modern Label Punch out of Early Espresso Cardstock.
I do love how these flowers look, and a little bit of attention with a bone folder on the edges and a Vintage Faceted Button in the middle of each, and “Tra La” card done!
I love it!
I adore the colour combination, and I adore the sprinkly spatter effect of the Gorgeous Grunge stamp!
