Stampin’ Up! UK Baby, the Sweetest Gift
Other than my own children being born, I haven’t ‘met’ a newborn baby for quite some time, but I was having a tidy recently and came across some ‘new baby’ cards in Oliver’s bedroom and decided to make a little selection of one style of card, but in great baby colours.
My main colours were Baked Brown Sugar, Crushed Curry and Pistachio Pudding for those we-don’t-know-if-it’s-a-boy-or-a-girl couples, and then Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky for those that do!
I love the Sweetest Gift stamp set, and decided that all the cards would have the same sentiment and motif, heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, but I would change them very slightly according to ribbons, and other than that, they’re essentially the same. Each has had the sentiment die cut out using the Deco Labels framelits. Each motif was punched using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and then back dropped with a colour co-ordinating piece of cardstock punched using the Fancy Flower Punch, and all had a trio of rhinestones put into the top corner.
But here’s where the fun starts. I used Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon, Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon, Soft Sky Seam Binding Ribbon, and Ruffle Trim in Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar for the others.
I think these are great to have on hand if you know that babies are on their way, but for those of you who make to sell at craft fayres, these would equally make good sellers!
