Stampin’ Up! UK Watercolour Wonder You Make Me Happy!

Oooo, so SpringWatch is over, but a small part of me wanted to carry it on, so I decided to ‘ease’ you all back in to my regular mixture of cards and videos by sharing a card showcasing the Watercolour Wonder paper and matching Happy Watercolour stamp set.

I adore this paper, it is so pretty; soft yet strong, blurred edges yet striking impact!

But as you know, I’m more of a paper and punch girl than a stamper, so I decided to mix up my love of punching, with the beautiful paper and this stunning stamp set!

And while I’ve used 5 different circular punches, the 3/4“, 1“, 1 1/4“, 1 3/8” and 2 1/2“, I do think you could do this with just 2 sizes, the largest and then a smaller one.

I simply took my pack of designer series paper, selected 8 of the patterns (I didn’t use the 3 zig zags or the stripes) and punched circles, but I wanted to edge them a little, so after stamping my sentiment in Smoky Slate ink, I kept the ink out and sponged the edges of all of those, the 2 white layers and then mounted them all up on layers of dimensionals.

I love the gentle effect of the sponging against the striking colours.
