Okay, who said Lions and Giraffes had to be brown/yellow, and do Monkeys always have to be chocolate colour?

Oh who cares! Rules go out the window in this house. And while it may be a little stereotypical to put a ‘baby’ animal into pastel colours, I really don’t mind!

The three colours I’ve used are Pink Pirouette, Pistachio Pudding and Soft Sky, and then each of the trio of Zoo Babies stamped image took on a colour, I punched them all using the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and sponged the edges in a different colour, and then layered them over a 3rd colour punched using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. So basically, each image has the 3 colours somewhere. Though you may have to look closely….!

And I wanted to use ribbons, because they just call ‘baby’ to me when put together like this. Why don’t we have layette baskets and cots edged like this anymore? Probably a choking hazard, but you know, it’s okay to pop them on a card….!

Finally, a scattering of the tiniest Basics Pearls and tra la! All made using Naturals White cardstock!

Twee, predictable, cutesy? I don’t mind. I love it!
