Stampin’ Up! UK Perfect Rainbow Pennants
My life is the most amazing mixture of motherhood, marriage, mayhem and so much more.
I have days when the washing pile seems to grow all by itself, and days when it feels like I’m doing nothing but load and unload the machine, while loading and unloading the dishwasher.
It feels sometimes like my life is destined to be picking up pieces of lego and jigsaw puzzles while getting in and out of the car on three school runs each day.
There are times, like now, when I’m sat writing blog posts with my husband sat on the sofa watching some car restoration programme, and because the ‘wah wah wah’ noise from it is somewhat annoying, I have my headphones in listening to a very random playlist on my phone!
It is a juggling act of scribbling out project ideas onto many notebooks scattered around my house, while flash frying a stir fry (not recommended, it’s painful…!), and sometimes the frustration of having an amazing idea, but knowing it’s going to be hours until I can sit down at my desk and work something out.
It’s not perfect.
I don’t go out to work 9-5 each day, so therefore I often don’t know when to switch off.
I don’t always get the work/life/mother balance quite right.
I can sometimes get to 7pm on a Sunday night and realise I’ve forgotten to make sure the week’s worth of school uniforms are in the relevant wardrobes.
But I love every minute of it.
People often ask how I manage everything.
I don’t always.
Sometimes it is pizza for tea. Twice in a week.
Sometimes I will be up at midnight shouting at YouTube because my video hasn’t uploaded properly.
Mostly it’s a slight obsession with making sure I have a plentiful supply of crafting projects ready to share while being very obsessed with time co-ordination.
I manage because I’ve been learning the motherhood thing for nearly 11 years now (ouch, when did that decade pass by!) and have been working for myself for 15 of the last 19 years (that aged me too!), so I know the way to juggle and mix up work and parenting. There’s no secret to it, or art. It’s just about being on top of things ahead of time, and not trying to do everything.
It’s not perfect, but it’s amazing and I wouldn’t change a thing.
(ingredients for this topical card are the Perfect Pennants Bundle of stamp and matching framelits, the Brights Stampin’ Write Markers and Candy Dots, Smoky Slate Cardstock and the Small Heart Punch!)
Don’t forget, Sale a Bration is on until the 31st of March. There is an awesome offer for every £45 spent (get free stuffs!) and an amazing joining offer (spend £99 and choose £150 worth of products of your choice, a great way to kick start a new business doing what I do!)
I hope you enjoyed this project, please do use the hostess code to support Pootles! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for the current one!)
