Stampin’ Up! UK Petal Parade 3×3 Easter Card Showcase
Well aren’t these little cuties just adorable?
I love the technique of hand stamping your own background design onto a card, and these flower really do lend themselves to this type of project.
Quick cards, these measure 3×3″ (7.5 x 7.5cm) which means that I got all 8 card bases from one sheet of 12×12 whisper white cardstock, and then the front layers, punch outs and sentiments from just over a sheet of A4 whisper white cardstock.
And because the stamp set was free, total bargain!
I was a little stuck as to which colour to choose when I was first designing the cards, so I decided that in for a penny, in for a pound, I’d use 16 different colours. I appreciate this is a little extravagant, but one of the greatest things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that I kinda have to legitimately have all the colours, and that’s my guilt asuaged, but I also get them at a discount!
So my colour palette, according to the photo is as follows –
So Saffron/Crushed Curry
Calypso Coral/Cajun Craze
Crisp Cantaloupe/Tangerine Tango
Pink Pirouette/Rose Red
Pistachio Pudding/Wild Wasabi
Soft Sky/Marina Mist
Pool Party/Night of Navy
Wisteria Wonder/Perfect Plum
And I love all of them!
My embellishments were simply created using my favourite circle punch combination of 1 1/4″ Circle layered over a 1 3/8″ Circle, and then I punched the sentiment (Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set) using the Word Window Punch and popped a tiny flower from Itty Bitty Shapes on to the end with a tiny Basics Pearl.
Happy Easter…!
