Pootles Stampin’ Up UK is Sending Perfect Pennants Your Way!
When our Spring Catalogue first arrived through the mail box in December, I fell for this stamp and framelit bundle immediately. I knew that I had to have it in my life, and while I feel I’ve maybe neglected some of my supplies while Sale a Bration was on, I felt I needed to send some good thoughts back to some of my favoured sets!
So I decided that using the pairing as a bundle was the place to start, and I was having a blue day when I made it. Not bad blue, as in feeling down, just that I fancied using blues!
This card mixes up Pool Party in the backing as the main card blank, but I love the Kaleidoscope DSP on the same page as the bundle, so this is where that awesome spotty blue background comes from.
I am also a fan of sponging, and of doubling ribbon, so that’s where the decorative touches come from. The banner just felt a little too stark until I got the Bermuda Bay ink onto it, and I think it just edged it nicely.
And do you like how I inked up the sentiment? I used our fantabulous (it’s a word…) Stampin’ Write Markers to pick out the word Good in Bermuda Bay while keeping the rest in Pool Party. I am seriously addicted to this effect, and have been known to have an entire evening using only markers…
Oh and buttons? Did you know I have a fear of them? Yup. Totally ridiculous and irrational, but it’s there. However, I’m better in recent years than I used to, and fortunately Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have those dreadful ninja fish eye ones, so I know I’m safe when I put my fingers in the tub!
But I love how this card came together, so I’m sending my good thoughts to my faithful stamp sets and am merrily using them all with abandon!
