Forever With You Matches Fresh Prints! Who Knew?!
When I first opened up the Fresh Prints DSP stack, I knew I recognised some of the patterns. There are some from our main DSP packs, some from the past, and I recognised this floral print from last year’s now retired Comfort Cafe paper.
However, it was only a week or so ago that I cottoned on to the fact that the floral print actually matches the Forever With You stamp set in the main catalogue.
Am I really the only person out there who was completely oblivious to that fact?
But the moment I realised it did, well that was it. Stamps out, paper out, and I was off!
My 5 year old son Jacob was in the playroom with me when I was making this, and he kept asking who it was for (I hadn’t decided on a sentiment at that point), and he announced I ought to “give it to Daddy, he’s lovely and pretty”. I’m not sure how chuffed my husband will be at being described as pretty, but it did make the decision for me to stick with the sentiment in the set. Forever.
I love how this card has turned out. The Crumb Cake as the predominant colour for the card blank and stamping and sponging is perfectly set off by the Real Red flowers I punched using the Petite Petals and Itty Bitty Shapes punches. I’ve actually sponged the edges of them too using Crumb Cake. They were a bit ‘too’ red for me at first, and this just dulled them down enough.
I hope you like it too. And I wonder, has anyone else had moments of enlightenment when browsing the Stampin’ Up! catalogue?
