Pear Pizzazz and Gorgeous Grunge. Never be afraid of the white space….
I think that often us crafters feel we need to ‘fill’ all the gaps on a card. We’re a little frightened of that white space. I admit, I’m one of those crafters too, but I do allow myself to ‘stop the process’ on occasion, and I’m not too scared to say “I’m done here” and leave a big old blank area.
It seems it’s a sort of ‘instinct’ in us to make sure that a card is fully loaded, but as you know, I’m a simple stamper, and like a simple but stylish card when I’m making them. Particularly when it’s a card for a chap!
So my card for you today makes use of the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, the ‘splats’ are in Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate and Basic Grey, with the ‘Hi’ from Regarding Dahlias stamped in Smoky Slate and (what was meant to be Pear Pizzazz) an accidental Wild Wasabi Candy Dot. *Note to self – don’t craft without proper lamps on….* I love to pop up circle punchouts, so I used my favourite pairing of the 1 1/4″ Circle and the 1 3/8″ circle. Love them!
An easy peasy card. And I don’t mind the white space at all!
