Floral Handmade Card using Stampin’ Up! Stippled Blossoms
So we know that the Retiring List is now live, and a week in, products are selling pretty quickly. And with that in mind, I made the decision to remove everything from my shelves that are retiring.
The last thing I want to do is add a blog post or video that uses something that’s on it’s way out, only for you to want to buy it and then can’t get hold of it!
But while I do have half empty shelves now, what I’ve found is that I’ve ‘noticed’ some stamp sets that I haven’t used as often as I should. And one of them is the Stippled Blossoms stamp set.
It’s a lovely set, a 2 step technique, where you stamp the solid stamp in a pale colour, then the detailed one over the top in a darker toning colour.
In this case, I used Pink Pirouette as my pale pink, then Strawberry Slush as the darker one to tone.
And yes, you do have to use your Stamp a ma Jig, but heck, if you haven’t got one already, you haven’t lived! Oh my WOW! perfect alignment every time!
But back to this card, I decided to keep it fairly simple, but I did ‘fussy cut’ the little trio of flowers (fussy cutting means to cut them out manually rather than with a punch), and they do look cute!
Finally, my sentiment, in that gorgeous font, comes from the lovely A Dozen Thoughts stamp set, and it’s gorgeous!
So I hope you like my simple card, with it’s delicate detailing. Quite different to my usual style, but I could get right on board with it!
