Pretty Petite Fresh Prints Floral Card
Only 13 days of the Retiring List left….!
Okay, so did I take alliteration a touch too far? I’m sorry. But today, I felt the need to get all of the everything (?!) into the title of this blog post, and that meant, a little alliteration….
But was it worth it?
I do hope so!
I shall sadly miss the Fresh Prints DSP, and even knowing that there are new DSPs to come, you do get rather attached to them when you’ve been working with them for 6 months, and this is no different.
So my card today is a showcase of a single sheet of that paper. One pattern I really do love, and one that I hope to see in the future, with a different colourway I’m sure, but the pattern is rather lovely, so I didn’t want to detract from that.
I simply used Crumb Cake as my base card and added a sponged layer of Whisper White before adding that showstopper DSP, but I did feel it needed breaking up a little. I mean, yes, I love spots, but this needed panelling off a little, so I added a further strip of sponged Whisper White.
And it’s this panel where I’ve added the ‘interest’ feature. The Petite Petals stamps are stamped in Crumb Cake, but sponged in Real Red and Coastal Cabana ink and set over a triple layer of Linen Thread, with Basics Pearls as centres, but also scattered among them too. And the sentiment also has a trio of the pearls. It comes from, wait for it…… Lots of Thanks!
Did you know I love this set?? I do. Just in case you were wondering…
So once again, a simple card to put together, but I do hope that whoever I send it to likes it!
