South Hill Designs on Sunday The Gold Diamond Card
Is it me, or are these weeks just flying by?
Suddenly it’s Sunday again, and we’re back with South Hill Designs again for another video!
This time, like last week (which to be frank, based on all your positive responses) is a card tutorial based on a locket design.
I have worn the locket that inspired the card on and off all week, and had such lovely comments from people that I decided it had to be the basis of this week’s video tutorial, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. (click HERE to see the locket. It’s gorgeous!)
It half crossed my mind to make the card blank out of Very Vanilla Cardstock, but I’m really pleased that I decided to go with the Shimmery White that you see before you.
In the video I do try my best to show the gorgeous shimmer, which failed badly (bloomin Welsh weather!), but the picture above captures it perfectly! It’s so delicate and pretty. Trust me, this is not pearlescent cardstock as was popular 13 years ago. Oh not, this is more delicate than that. To be fair, I do like pearlescent cardstock, but I adore the subtlety of this cardstock much more!
So it’s an easy make, and as someone on facebook suggested, would actually make a rather good Wedding Card! Hadn’t even thought of that!
So here’s the video, the measurements aren’t relevant to this specific project, just know that for each layer, make it half a centimeter or 1/4 inch less than the one above…
Products used and showcased.
