Envelope Punch Board Pretty Petal Pot!
Only 8 days left til the Retiring List closes…
Well this little pot here is a completely unexplained result from about an hour of fiddling about with my Envelope Punch Board.
Don’t ask me what I was trying to make, as I genuinely have no idea what. So. Ever….
Honestly!
This is just how my head works sometimes. I score a handful of lines and then start bending pieces this way and that, and see if it makes a pretty shape, or one that I can work with to build upon.
Not too shabby for a 40 year old brain!
I will confess though, I had no idea what to call it. So I posted a photo on my facebook page, and asked. We had all sorts from Flutter Box, to Petal Pouch (which is kind of where the name I ended up with came from). Someone else suggested a Helicopter…. Nope, can’t see a helicopter in it!
But it is really rather sweet, and once you show the DSP who’s boss, and make it curve in the direction you’re telling it to go, it is pretty awesome!
so here’s the video, it’s in no way as complicated to make as you think it might be. Promise!
Oh and guess what? Uses only a quarter of a sheet of DSP….!

Hi Sam, when I looked at this box the first time I thought how bizarre but cute. Today I just made one for mothers day and I put in a little glass which holds a scented tealight. It looks so cute and I am sure my mom will like it. The glass sticks out which is good for safety but is does not do any harm to the design at all. Thanks for that great idea!
