Pootles – Stampin’ Up! Alliteration Works for This…
I think most of us have at one time or another, made reference to Stampin’ Up’s use of alliteration, particularly with their colour collections. Mostly it doesn’t particularly register on my radar these days, but last week I was pondering my ink pads in my Colour Caddy and happened to spot that Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler were nestled up next to Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral. And because my inks are in colour groups, they weren’t clashing.
So I continued to turn my caddy and pulled out Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Coastal Cabana. I quickly rejected Coastal Cabana when I realised that actually all my colours blended together.
So I set them all up and stamped out the card below (more details to follow…), but it was only after the event that I realised that I’d missed out Crushed Curry (he lives at the top of my caddy, and in fairness to me, the white writing is hard to see on any of my yellows…). I think he possibly could have squeezed into this line up, but I don’t think it looks bad without.
Anyway, back to the card. I have only used the Stampin’ Write Markers on this project, in the Craze, Cobbler, Cake, Chip, Cantaloupe and Coral colours (yes, I’m getting lazy!) but they just blend so beautifully!
The main image across the top is the stunning Bordering Blooms. A great set, these are all photopolymer, so you can see exactly where you’re placing your stamp!
The cluster at the bottom is from Garden Party, and my greeting comes from my ever faithful Lots of Thanks stamp set – punched with the 1″ Square and Postage Label Punch, backed with a twist of linen thread!
I hope you like it! And maybe the alliteration hasn’t gone completely mad after all…!
