Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Hello Darling Stampin’ Up! Card using Blender Pens
For 1 week only, until Saturday September 20th, I am celebrating falling hard and fast in love with Blendabilities. I love how they are so much more than a ‘colouring’ pen, and make pretty things that little bit more special.
So for every order of £100, I will send you a 3-pack of Blendabilities as a special thank you. This is incremental, so if you spend £200 you’ll get 2 packs, £300 would be 3 packs, and so on! Pretty awesome when you add in the Good Greetings free stamp set that SU themselves are offering on orders over £200, plus all the hostess rewards!
Anyway, the fine print is that this is an offer from me only, not Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities will be automatically sent by my after September 20th and will come separately to your order!
I have to confess, when I first saw the Hello Darling stamp set in the catalogue, I wasn’t convinced it was for me. I’m still not sure when I’ll make a card for someone other than my husband that would have Hello Darling on it, and I can’t totally see where he would appreciate a floral one, but you know, separating the parts from one another would work, and it was with that in mind that I decided to go ahead and buy it.
I love the other elements to it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Hello Darling bit, but I think I’ll probably use the rest of it a lot more than the wording…
So as you can see from my card today, I used just one part. Those gorgeous finely printed flowers clustering together.
I stamped them at first using Soft Suede but after that, well, I grabbed Lost Lagoon and my Blender Pens and decided to just go for it.
I am getting better at the whole Blender Pen thing, and will continue to persevere, and I’m really rather happy with this one!
I wasn’t over keen on the centre of them though, hence the punched flowers (Boho Blossoms of course!), but the simplicity of the stamped images dictated the simplicity overall, with the sentiment coming from the Num-Num set punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch.
So what do you think? Would you use the Hello Darling with the flowers? Or is it just me that has flower+husband issues???
