Stampin’ Up! Gift Box Punch Board… Yay or Nay?
Today is the last day of my Blendabilities giveaway so make sure to get your orders in ASAP! It’s incremental so for every £100 you spend, I will send you a trio pack of Blendabilities of your choice. So if you spend £200, I’ll send 2 packs, £300 and so on!
Pretty awesome when you add in the Good Greetings free stamp set that SU themselves are offering on orders over £200, plus all the hostess rewards!
Anyway, the fine print is that this is an offer from me only, not Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities will be automatically sent by my after September 20th and will come separately to your order!
Possibly one of the most discussed tools to come from Stampin’ Up! recently, I’m often asked if I’d recommend the new Gift Box Punch Board or not.
I don’t believe I’m here to tell people what to buy or not to buy, I just share projects I’ve made with products I like and love.
What I will say quickly here and now is that yes, I did buy it straight away, and yes I did buy the Envelope Punch Board straight away too. As many of you know, I didn’t use the EPB at all for about 3 weeks as I couldn’t see beyond the fact it made envelopes, but once I started playing, well, as you know, dozens of projects of which none are envelopes, came forth!
That’s not to say that the same will happen with the Gift Box Punch Board, but you never know!
However, the question I’m asked is ‘does it do anything that the EPB doesn’t already do’. Well, my personal answer to that is ‘no, not yet’ as I haven’t had time to experiment particularly yet.
BUT, and this is an enormous but… just because it ‘only’ makes boxes doesn’t make it a bad thing. The fact that the EPB makes boxes is it’s bonus, but buying a tool specifically to make boxes can only be good, right?
And while I and others know how to make boxes from the EPB and other scoring tools, I also understand that not everyone can do that, and that some just aren’t able to visualise how to determine measurements required to make a box for a specific item (my husband being a case in point!). In which case, then most definitely the Gift Box Punch Board is the most marvellous tool ever invented!
So do I recommend it? Well, I still don’t believe in ‘selling’ an item, but I hope my video below talks you through it a little more and you can then make your own mind up…!
I hope you enjoyed this project, please do use the hostess code to support Pootles! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for the current one!) If your order is over £150, please do not use this code as You become the hostess and get the Rewards!
