South Hill Designs & Stampin’ Up! on Sunday – Golden Card
Don’t you just love this day of the week? It’s a day to chill at home, spend time with family and friends, and to just kick back with a few craft supplies if you’re that way inclined…!
It’s also my day of the week when I merge my 2 lives together, make something pretty and hope that it’s well received!
Last week I made a locket on camera rather than a papercraft project and I don’t think it was as well received as it could have been, so I have gone back to making paper projects!
There is a deliberate reason for working with gold this week, and that’s because of a special promotion that South Hill Designs has going on, (details over on that blog) and I rather enjoyed working with golds in my paper craft too!
The project is pretty and simple; I took a piece of Brushed Gold cardstock which I cut in half and folded in half. I love the Fancy Foil Vellum and I wanted to add some hearts in, so it was ideal to choose that one!
The rest of the decoration is quite simple, a little slip of Gold Satin Ribbon stapled to the top using our new Stapler (it’s so cute!) and then a trio of gold hearts punched out of Gold Foil Sheets using the tiny heart from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and a scattering of pearls.
My sentiment, because it seemed to err towards the weddingy, I took from the Tag Talk stamp set, punched with the matching Label Bracket Punch and backed with a 1 3/4″ Gold Glitter Circle.
Pretty and simple, I hope you like it, and the matching locket that goes along with it!
