Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Count Your Blessings Simple Soft Card
Simple is most definitely my ‘style’ as far as card making is concerned, but I don’t believe that simple can’t mean pretty, stylish, striking, or other such phrases, and sometimes it’s the simple things in life that we take for granted and sometimes forget to be thankful for.
I’m blessed by my children, not that they’re a simple thing to come by and I know how fortunate I am to have them.
But to be able to turn a tap on and have running water is simple, but I’m blessed to have.
I can take a look out of a window and see flowers growing. Other places are so barren that little grows there.
There are a thousand ‘simple’ things that I take for granted and today I’m taking a moment to count my blessings and so my card reflects that.
It’s made using Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla Cardstock with the Autumn Wooden Elements that have been sponged and layered over a triple layer of Linen Thread.
I’ve stamped using the Gratitute for Days stamp set which I then punched using the Scallop Oval Punch, although I disguised the edges by sponging with Chocolate Chip ink so that it would blend into the Decorative Label Punch background.
I hope you like my card, and together we can be blessed by the simple things in our lives.
