Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles 2 Fold Flat Soap Boxes from 1 Piece of Cardstock

I am always delighted when a friend asks me to design a box for them, it’s a real honour, and when my friend Jax of Savonnerie Du Chapitre asked me to make her a box design, I just about squeaked with delight!

She makes the most beautiful soaps in the South of France and they are just stunning. With metallic threads of soap swirled through and incredible fragrance combinations, I wanted to make something simple for her to showcase her soaps.

At the point of filming and photographing, I didn’t have a sample to hand, but a trio have just turned up this morning and they fit perfectly!

Just a little hint of what she makes, her website is full of her creations!

Anyway, the best part about this box is that you can get 2 from a sheet of cardstock, and I show you how to score once for both boxes in the video!

Do enjoy, and definitely head over to Jax’s website to check out her creations, maybe even stop and shop a while!

Dimensions of box when completed – 1 x 2 x 4″ (2.5 x 5 x 10cm)

Cardstock for 2 boxes 11 x 8″ (20 x 27.5cm)

Score on the LONG side at 1, 5, 6, 10″ (2.5, 12.5, 15, 25cm)

Score on the SHORT side at 1, 3, 5, 7″ (2.5, 7.5, 12.5, 17.5cm) CUT at 4″ (10cm)

DSP panel 1.75 x 3.75″ (4.5 x 9.5cm)

Would you be able to do a tutorial for cutting and folding a similar box out of a 12×12″ piece of cardstock? That would be very helpful! 🙂

This is great! Do you have a way (a tutorial) for making boxes for cube-shaped soap (2.5″ all sides)?
