Pootles Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator – Stippled Blossom Mug Inspiration!
Okay so the first thing I want to say is, WOW! You are all full of massive ideas!!! The project I shared on Tuesday was made before I went to convention (so no, it wasn’t a test!) and it was a spur of the moment to add it in. You all know that I like to be honest, bloopers and all, so thank you very very very (!) much for having your thoughts and opinions and sharing them with me! I am going to revisit it and work with your suggestions. Butterflies with pearls were a very popular idea, as were altering a backdrop to the sentiment and adding a twist of linen thread.
You’re all awesome!
But back to today’s post.
Technically yesterday as it was Wednesday that the Amazon courier chap delivered my brand new ceramic travel mug and it immediately inspired the card you see before you.
As you can see, yes, I have taken pretty much all of the elements from the mug, but I’ve altered it slightly.
I used Smoky Slate and Basic Grey as my cardstock colours as per the mug and of course, it could only be the Stippled Blossom stamp for the rose look.
It’s stamped with White Stazon and then rather than a bright red, I used Cherry Cobbler for the highlighted area.
My Itty Bitty Accents punched flowers are the same colour as the mug – So Saffron and Pink Pirouette, but I sponged the edges a little with Basic Grey and set them over some Always Artichoke leaves punched from the Bird Builder Punch. Oh, and the centres? I didn’t want a black centre, so decided to colour some Rhinestones with the Night of Navy Blendabilities pen (darkest one).
It’s not identical to the mug, but most definitely inspired by it!
I hope you enjoyed this project, please do use the hostess code to support Pootles! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for the current one!) If your order is over £150, please do not use this code as You become the hostess and get the Rewards!
