I did it!

I braved the Blendabilities for more than just colouring rhinestones, and you know what? I’m really rather happy with the result!

At European Convention recently, Brandi Barnard who is both a demonstrator and one of the trainers for Stampin’ Up! ran a workshop project session that was exclusively around using Blendabilities.

Now as someone not overly big on the whole colouring in thing (for that, read ‘not very good’ at the whole colouring in thing…), I haven’t ventured much further than colouring rhinestones and the infamous ‘scribble‘ card (still gets numerous views every day!!!), but Brandi put together some great projects and ideas and I decided to get out the pens and see what I could come up with.

I’m probably not massively adventurous in colouring the Kind Koala in Smoky Slate, but honestly, for a quick crafter like me, this is a big deal. Huge. Massive!

And it didn’t actually take me all that long! I started with the darkest of the 3 shades and went to the lighter.  I found it blended easier, but I do know that we all prefer one way or another, and this isn’t the hard and fast rule.

I kept it true to my simplistic style though and accessorised with a Daffodil Delight blended flower and ‘You’ word with the scatter of candy dots and ribbon.

Cute cute cute (happy happy happy me!)
