Pootles Advent Countdown #15 Frosty Box Tutorial for EOS Balm
I love it when I’m asked to design a box for someone who is planning to gift it away. I do have rather a large list at the moment of project requests *counts 7 post it notes stuck to monitor*, but I do feel a sense of honour and delight that someone has entrusted me to design for them.
When Gail got in touch a few weeks ago saying she was going to be giving Eos Balm away and wanted a box, well aside from running to Google to find out what one was, as soon as I saw the shape and design of the balm, I instantly fell in love and promptly ordered 6 (well a girl has to have variety doesn’t she??!)
I half thought of nestling the balm in a punched out hole style design, but as I’ve made a few of those recently, I wanted to revisit a project that had been a bit of a nightmare to film… The Spiral Flower Die Clear Box…. Yes. Those who were with me back at Easter witnessed the fight I had with the window sheet. Just for the record, I did win that particular battle.
But with hindsight, I know it was a problematic product to work with, so I have now come to terms with that (gosh, this is sounding like an awful sob story!) and decided to recreate it, but in the easier-to-bend vellum….
Anyway, I hope you like this video and that perhaps you might take on the spiral flower die box…
