Loving this card!
It was totally inspired by 2 amazing demonstrators. Both are friends, and one I’m a privileged to say is in my team.
Jenni Pauli, a fabulous demonstrator in Germany, makes a lot of cards in this shape (DL) and her’s are just perfection. For those that don’t know, DL is left at the full width of a piece of cardstock and then cut at 2/3rds of the length. Then that is folded in half.
I also wanted to use Stars as the dominant feature of the card, so while it was simple enough to use the Confetti Star Border Punch and the Star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents, I wanted a bigger one. So I took inspiration from Ania in my downline. She takes the Petite Petal Punch, punches her shape and then turns it over so she has the back facing her. She scores across from point to the centre on all 5 points so when you turn it back, you get the star shape I’m showing here. GENIUS!!!
So other than scattering my Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock with Crumb Cake inked Gorgeous Grunge, the card is as simple as you see, with a heavy hand of Champagne Glimmer Paper!
I rather love this shape, and I’ll be making it again!
