Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Tone on Tone Bordering Blooms and Boho Blossoms
I am rather taken with the idea of stamping white on white and adding a little texture with heat embossing. It seems to be gently elegant, although granted, you do have to peer a little closer at the card to see the imagery!
I was inspired by a new set of decorative lights I’d bought recently and loved how they were white lights with white flowers and stems. Simple really, but the delicate nature of them kept calling me to make a card, so I did!
The Bordering Blooms stamp set has to be one of my most frequently used stamp sets from the annual catalogue, and in particular this one here. If I never used any others from the set, I’d have got my money’s worth from it!
But of course, I do use the others regularly too!
And what do you think of the smaller matted layer? I cut them down by 2cm (3/4″) less than the card base and then 1/2cm (1/8″) smaller for the top layer. I like how this looks and I think I may do similar on future cards…
Oh and yes, I am aware that these have now taken on a name of their own (love you guys for this!) so I added some Pootleloops under my Boho Blossom punch outs. A scattering of pearls and my white heat embossing onto Naturals White cardstock stands right out in a delicate way!
