Pootles Bonus Advent Countdown Table Gift Tutorial
So okay, I did hint on Friday that there may be a 25th project for my Advent Countdown, and as promised, here it is.
There is a bit of a debate as to how many days there are to advent. You can wikipedia all day long, but we do tend to adopt and adapt things to suit us and our own traditions.
For me, a child of the 70s and 80s, Advent was 24 days counting down to Christmas and the last day was Christmas Eve – 24th, and there were 4 Advent Sundays. So that’s always been where my head’s at as far as counting down to Christmas, but in recent years, there have been more and more ‘advent’ calendars that had a 25th door to open on Christmas morning, and even more recently, some that have 31 days to countdown to New Year!
And of course, there’s the whole 12 days of Christmas thing. For the record, those come After Christmas, not before…. 12 days for the wise men to find the new born baby Jesus…
But that aside, however you count down to Christmas, I wanted to add in a bonus project, just because I can!
This is a great bag for mini gifting, but in our case, will hold mini table gifts on Christmas Day at our family meal.
Super easy to make, using minimal supplies that you perhaps already have at home, but if matched to your table decor, look stunning!
I hope you like the video, and my usual jibber jabber chatter…!
