Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Gorgeous Gold Soiree Painted Petals Card
It’s official. I’m totally back in the zone of using DSP as the main focal point of my cards.
This was very much my style when I first starting crafting 11+ years ago, and it is only in recent months that I’ve taken it back up again.
I think it’s quite easy for a box maker type like me to see DSP in terms of packaging decoration, so I suppose I could be forgiven for separating cards and boxes in my head, with paper for one, stamps for the other.
The Gold Soiree is the most beautiful paper, it has a sheen to it and there are gold foiled accents on one side of each sheet, but it’s a funny texture to make a sturdy box with, so hence the adornment of the card with it!
I took the Garden Green accent colour as my background card and the backing panels, then picked out the Calypso Coral for my Itty Bitty Accent flowers.
With such a pretty card, it could be for many occasions, so I went to my lovely Painted Petals stamp set and took the wording from there. Perfect in my opinion for an any occasion card, particularly with the 2″ Circle being backed with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle for another floral touch!
I hope you like it!
