Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator Pootles – Tall Tower Pen Gift Holder
It’s tall, slim, and holds half a dozen pens.
How cute!
I love Pilot Frixion pens and like to gift them to people, but the packaging is pretty ropey, so of course, when you’re a crafter like me, making pretty boxes is a must really isn’t it….
I love the simplicity of these, and with a little switch of the flowers from Painted Petals to perhaps a ‘boy’ design, you could give these to a chap without any problems.
My boys have all admired them on my desk (and a couple have been curious enough to open them!)
They’re remarkably easy to make, even if you do go a little skewiff with the scoring (ahem!), and of course, simple to make is another must for me!
I hope you like them and the video!
Dimensions when Finished – 2 x 2 x 9″ (5 x 5 x 23cm)
Cardstock – 8-1/4 x 11″ (21 x 28cm)

Score on the SHORT side at 2, 4, 6, 8″ (5, 10, 15, 20cm)

I love this packaging and these pens! I hope everyone knows that extreme heat makes the ink evaporate – my uncle used a Frixion to fill in his address book and then kept it in the glovebox of his car… everything disappeared like magic! You also cannot write cheques with them for this reason. As a crossword pen though they are gold!
I like the little tag! Wishing you a happy May Day.
I love, love, love this box! Thanks for sharing
I totally LOVE this box, Sam! It’d be a great way of presenting party favours for both adults and kids depending on the decoration.
I like the idea of the Frixion pens too but I think they’re totally horrible to write with… they’re very popular, however, so I guess that’s just me!
Lovely small box. Thanks for writing the cm on your
blog. Happy weekend Anneke

i look forward to your videos, your projects are pretty yet useful, thanks for sharing your talents!!!
Fun packaging! Can you make a bigger style for a wine bottle? 🙂 Clever as usual. thanks for this idea.
Great box Sam!! And I agree Painted Petals should be in the new catalog. It is an amazingly versatile set!!
Sam, you have done a couple of taller boxes lately and I really appreciate it! It seems I have been buying taller items for gifting lately, so these have come in handy! I got ahold of the magnets you shared with us a few projects back and plan to make the box with it for goodies to give to my fellow teachers to have a “Sweet Summer.” Now I just need to sit down and do it! You always have such awesome ideas to use! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I love this box, so different and yet so functional. I like to give interesting pencils as gifts and this box is perfect, much prettier than what I have been using. Thanks for sharing this idea. Did I say I just love your blog? The best.
