Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grunge Flat Topped Milk Carton Tutorial
As you know, I’m a crafter that likes to share honesty. That could be leaving bloopers in or confessing to when a project has gone wrong. And in today’s video, I share the original sample I made and where the ribboning went a little wrong and didn’t give me the flat top that I was aiming for.
I wanted to make a milk carton style box, but I wanted a shorter top for it, and thus, my measurements were set to do that. But, when I tied with ribbon, it sort of popped itself up again and didn’t give me the flattened look that I was after.
(You can see the difference in the photo above!)
So if you’re recreating this project too, please learn from my mistake!
And because pretty much all our Designer Series Paper has sold out, aside from the Spring range and the Typeset Paper, I decided to create a sort of pattern of my own.
I hope you enjoy the video, and how it turns out, in the end….

There are some specific stampsets which are able to make your own DSP and they look brilliant. One of them is this stampset. The box looks awesome. Thanks for sharing it with us sweety x
I love the stamping, makes a pretty box!!
Sam, I too, didn’t like the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set when I first saw it in the catty but then, I started seeing beautiful cards made with it and I just went ahead and bought it, I love it!!!
I love this box too, and I do like the closure with the clothes pins better than with the ribbon. I think that this stamp set is great for creating beautiful backgrounds, just like you did in this project.
Thank you for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
Love love love all your boxes
