Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Fold Over Smooth Domed Bag Tutorial
Happy Monday everyone!
It’s been a rather nice weekend. Okay, a little wet, but you know, the sun has tried it’s best to shine!
My project today started off so well. The prototype I made was a little ‘rough and ready’ but I put it down to being the sample prototype. However, when I came to make the sample to show at the start of the video, I was very unhappy with the finish.
I decided that I was going to make a version with the thinner Whisper White in the video, but as I came to build it, I was still unhappy with the finish.
I ended up with the DSP version above, but I do believe in declaring full honesty, so I do show you the other 2 originals and how they turned out.
I hope that is useful information as I’d hate for someone to go ahead and make a cardstock version and trash their cardstock….
Anyway, as it stands, I’m more than happy with the end result and it was worth the problems beforehand!
I hope you enjoy the video!

Very sweet box, I’m glad you did a dsp version, as this paper is lovely!!
Thank you Sam for showing that you too sometimes have what I refer to as “uh-ohs”!!!! Your honesty and excitement over your projects are so fun to watch. Thanks for inspiring us all to have fun and make some great things!
Blessings ~ Linda
I really like the way this closes. “Nifty!” And punching around the heart is also a cool idea!
Ms. Pootles,
The box (all of them) is beautiful. So you had a crease; remember it is handmade. You work so flawlessly and smoothly when making anything. Just go with the flow and keep those boxes coming (creases and all).
Hi Sam, I love to watch your videos! Inspiring and entertaining. This gift bag is lovely (design and paper). Suitable for wedding.
I love these, Sam… the shape suits the DSP perfectly!
