Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Crystal Effects You’ve Got This Card
So a month or so back I made a box out of a happy accident with some Crystal Effects and I loved the finish so much that I wanted to transfer the same technique onto a card.
However, I didn’t want it to be a 3×3 card so instead of having a small image floating on a large expanse of cardstock, I created layers around it.
The stamped image from You’ve Got This is on a 6 x 6 cm piece of whisper white, layered onto a 6.5 x 6.5cm piece of smoky slate. That’s all mounted up onto 3 layers of 7 x 11.2, 7.5 x 11.8, 8 x 12.2cm onto a card blank of 10.5 x 14.8cm A version of 8.5 x 11 would have layers of 4-1-4 x 3, 4-3/8 x 3-1/8, 4.5 x 3.25″ with smaller layers of 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 and 2-5/8 x 2-5/8″
And the colour of the stamping? Perfect Plum…..
I love this effect and I did say in June that I’d create it again onto a card, and I kept my promise!

Lovely Sam.
I’m definitely going to CASE this, if that’s ok, except I will turn everything around as I think the flower looks better with the stem facing down and the twine underneath it.
Gorgeous and imagine the possibilities with different colours.
Beautiful card Sam, I too will CASE it, this flower is just so beautiful, the twine is all the embellishment this card needs. Love all the layers and the layout, thank you for sharing.
love the effects from the crystal effect, but any tips on how to keep the bottle from getting clogged up?
love your blog
Do you make a envelope for this card? I love the size and this stamp!
Love the look. I know, sometimes our accidents end up more than we ever expected. Great card.
