Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Over the Rainbow with Bitty Butterflies
I am a real rainbow fan. For as long as I can remember, I’ve put things into rainbow order. Pens, crayons, pencils, clothes, paperclips. Anything. My Mum would have me sort through her embroidery threads. I think she secretly knew that when I was finished, she’d have a perfect rainbow of them!
And nothing changes even with age.
A rainbow is a beautiful thing to see in the sky, but to a Christian, it’s a reminder that things will never be so desperate again. That there always is hope.
My card today uses the Over the Rainbow stamp set for the sentiment, then a scatter of Gorgeous Grunge behind those stunning Regals Collection Bitty Butterflies.
A great way to use up scraps too, as well as to remind you of hope.

I like rainbows too but I always think of the order we learned in school: ROY G BIV :-). I especially like this card because my favorite Christian symbol of hope is the butterfly. (Have you ever read Hope for the Flowers?)
WOW! LOVE THIS CARD! Two of my favorite things–butterflies and rainbows. Seriously, this is stunning. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations with all of us.
Beautiful card. I’m going to see if I have the colors.
I LOVE your card but I also loved YOUR comments about the rainbow. I am casing this card to send to a dear friend who is battling cancer– thank you, Pootles!!❤️❤️❤️
Very pretty. Love the sentiment.
Thank you for this beautiful card and your thoughts about rainbows and butterflies. So inspiring. I look forward to opening my computer every morning and receiving your e-mails with all your challenging ideas for cards, etc.
Beautiful card … I too love rainbows and butterflies and use them often in my cards and scrap pages. Thank you for sharing your creativity – and your Christianity. May God bless you and your family.
You are excellent at crafting boxes, milk cartons and all kinds of other containers, which I really, really enjoy, but I have to say, I am blown away by this card. I can’t wait to make one…it is elegant, and really speaks to the heart. My cousins wife passed away on their 50th wedding anniversary, he really needs this card…but for him, I might leave the pearls off, have to think on it a minute.
This is such a beautiful card and thank you so much for posting about the true meaning of the rainbow! Sharon, I think this card will be beautiful and full of meaning with or without the pearls.
This is just gorgeous! I am the same, but I have a daughter on the Autism Spectrum who beats me to it these days… win/win I say Thank you for your inspiration! Lisa from Sydney Australia xoxo
