South Hill Designs & Stampin’ Up! Sunday Diamond Locket Card
Today I have a rather passionate video regarding why I joined South Hill Designs, so if you’d like to skip ahead to that, please feel free to jump down to the bottom for the video, but I’ve decided that I wanted to share why I joined Stampin’ Up! here for you too.
In the beginning, I simply wanted to buy my craft supplies at a discount. I’d been enjoying exhibiting at craft fayres and was doing well selling my bags, boxes and notebooks. But pretty much as soon as I joined, I found that my opportunities to attend those craft fayres dried up. My husband works shifts and with 4 quite young children (my youngest wasn’t even 2 then), I didn’t really want to have to get someone else sit for them for a whole day.
However, with the first few YouTube videos that I put online, I found that I got as much thrill from sharing and inspiring others as I did from selling a card or box. And that’s still the same now.
Of course, I now earn an income from my business, but that’s kind of a biproduct of the overwhelming desire to share!
And as far as sharing goes, I’m not one of those who shares a lot about myself on social media, but sharing projects feels like I am. They’re each a bit of me, so I guess I do share!
Anyway, today’s card, to go along with the pretty locket that I made, is a simple 3×3″ card with a 2×2″ panel on the front offset to make a diamond shape. Stamping with Garden in Bloom in Smoky Slate was a great backdrop alongside the Silver Glimmer Paper
I love the new Silver Cord that’s coming with the new seasonal catalogue, and simply added some tiny flowers to it.
Simple is me, and I have no problem with that!

Sam I love this video! As a former preschooler educator(note I said former) I’m so happy that you made the decision to invest in your children so many of the parents I dealt with did not even understand how short the growing up years are so I say hooray for you being there for your children. Being in business fro. Home is hard but being a stay at home mom is a wonderfully fulfilling job an the most important one you’ll ever have. Enjoy these moments they go by way to fast, my youngest son just turned 30 & it seems like yesterday he wanted kisses to make his booboo all better. God bless you.
Thanks for sharing your stories! I’m a Stampin’ Up! demo too in the U.S. just being a ‘hobby demo’. It’s hard to build a team or sales because there are so many of us. I love sharing my videos and projects too, but just don’t get the attention. Your so blessed to have so many followers, customers, and your teams! Love your beautiful mini card, and of course the locket!
Your generosity sharing your talents has bought you the rewards you deserve. Thank you,
