Pootles’ August Thank You Cards using Remarkable You from Stampin’ Up!
It’s a brand new month, and I get to show you the cards that I posted out a couple of days ago as part of my Thank You Pack that I send to everyone who comes shopping with me.
August was a very hectic month for me with all 4 boys being at home all day every day, so I wanted to keep this month’s card simple, yet still hand stamped and stylish.
The Remarkable You stamp set has been right on my radar since the Annual Catalogue went live and I’ve loved using it.
I stamped 40 of each flower onto our Notecards (the ones with the matching envelopes) using Sahara Sand ink. I wanted a sort of hand-written type sentiment, so I used Watercolour Words for this, and depending on the flower (ie, the space left!) I went with either Just for You or Hooray.
The cards felt a little plain still at that point, so I got out my Blender Pens and went to town. There was Wisteria Wonder on some, Rose Red on others, and a little So Saffron on the Lilies. And all the stems were gentle coloured with Wild Wasabi.
I rather like the soft finish of these. I only went around the edges of the larger flowers rather than colouring them completely. Apart from my blending skills not being up to much, I preferred how these looked after I did a little experimenting.
So I hope that those who’ve received them like them, and that perhaps you do a little blending?
And tomorrow I’m sharing the video project of the goodies that I sent out along with the cards

I watched your video re: writing tablet covers…how to measure for them. I have to say it was tricky for me, but as I made one it was easier than I thought! I made another! Now I am going to make more for our Church’s Craft Fair in November. Thank you for sharing, just a note to let you know I appreciate your blog and all the inspiration you give out, even all the way ‘across the pond’! I listed my blog so you can check it out!
