Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Perpetual Birthday + Gold Embossing. Celebrate!
One day, I will show you in the notebook that I have that goes with me everywhere. I scribble ideas and notes in it wherever I go. If a colour palette catches my eye, it goes in there. If I see a layout of maybe some paving stones, that gets sketched. Everything goes in there!
Back in August, I went on a mini break with the family and that involved a 4 hour car journey. Well, the boys were happy watching DVDs in the back of the car, so Chris and I chatted away while I scribbled down loads of different things. I’ve no idea what prompted the colour palette of pink, green and gold, but I rather like it!
I used the new Thick Whisper White cardstock to create the card blank and added 2 layers that I popped up with dimensionals.
Perpetual Birthday Calendar is a stamp set that I love, so the first thing I did was get those gold butterflies on first with the Gold Embossing Powder. The leaves are stamped with Wild Wasabi and the scatter of flowers are done in Blushing Bride.
I love heat embossing and the stylish finish that you get with it, so taking the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set, I embossed the sentiment too and then punched it with the Washi Label Punch.
For a scribbled note of 3 colours and nothing else, I think I did okay!

Lovely card, beautiful embossing of this sweet butterflies. The images appear like they are being carried by nice breeze.
Just beautiful Sam, thank you for sharing.
Lovely card. I noticed most cards are tall, fold at top. I usualy do fold at side, only occasionally on top.
I like this very much!!!!
What another great card.
