Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – A Joyful Season Cardinal
So a couple of days ago I mentioned about having a list that I scribble colour combinations onto. Well today I have another one from that list. I wrote down Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler and Vanilla, but had no idea where I was going to take that!
In fact, I took it in 2 ways and in a couple of weeks you’ll see the other card that I made using the same colours!
But today is a festive card for you. I knew that I wanted to use the Joyful Season stamp set early on into the Autumn/Christmas season, mostly because of the font used in the wording. I love it. Not too strict, not to stark, just lovely.
And of course, the cardinal is a huge bonus!
It’s a 2 step photopolymer stamp, so you create the outline first (I used chocolate chip) and add the branch where you like. Then layer over the bird, then the beak. I initially added white ink to the berries, but changed my mind and used Dazzling Diamonds instead.
Finishing it with the wording stamped in Mossy Meadow, I rather like the card with its simplistic layers and stamping.
