Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Cottage Greetings Happy Birthday with Flowers!
Today’s card is a mix up of a couple of DSP papers with a showcase of flowers going on.
It’s no secret that I love our new Background Stacks, and definitely no secret that I love the Petite Petals punch either….
I wanted to make a birthday card because that’s one of those cards that I never seem to have enough of, and always seem to need at the 11th hour… And when you’re making with no specific person in mind, I find it’s easier to stick to simple elements.
I love the streamer pattern of the Pool Party paper from Cherry on Top DSP stack, and of course, love the flowers from the Background Stacks, so I used Melon Mambo as a total opposite to get the striking difference.
With Cottage Greetings having a very pretty font and a selection of all-occasion greetings, I used that across the middle.
Are you like me and have an excess of one kind of card but not of another, and it’s always ‘the other one’ that you need in an emergency?

Lovely card Sam, I love the little flowers embellished with candy dots.
You are so right, Sam! I find I need a card on the fly and I just don’t have it. So, I do try to make two instead of just one…one sheet of paper, two identical cards…or semi-identical. I like to go through the catalog when I have some spare time and just turn to a card that I love and make 4 or 6 of them…. Thank you for your post! I love reading them and watching your videos!
