Thankful Card using Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals Paper
Well I think you all know now that I love a DSP layered card and I so love the Pretty Petals paper that I had to bring it out to play again!
I love floral on black, it looks so stylish, but it did tickle me when I was with some of my team recently and one in particular was quite vocal about not liking flowers and black!
It’s a good job Stampin’ Up! provides for all our tastes and whims!
So my card is super simple to make. Please note, the following measurements are for A4 sized card, if you’re 8-1/2 x 11, you will need to adjust very slightly….
Cardblank – 10.5 x 29.7 scored at 14.8cm
Black spotted layer – 10 x 14.2cm
Black vertical panel – 13.8 x 4cm
Hegagon layer – 13.2 x 3.5cm
Black horizontal panel – 9 x 3cm
Green flower bud layer – 8.5 x 2.5cm
Black small panel – 6 x 2cm
Very Vanilla layer – 5.75 x 1.75cm
To make an Imperial version, cut your cardstock in half and score in half. Then your spotty layer would be 1/4″ shorter and narrower. To make layers whichever size you decide for your black layers, make the patterened over layers also 1-4″ smaller and for the stamped layer, make it 1/8″ smaller
So with the Pretty Petals as the focal point, I decided to simply stamp using Endless Thanks in Basic Black, add a black Petite Petals punch out with a single Mint Macaron Blossom Accent
Simple works for me!
