Pootles Advent Countdown #20 Triangular Table Box Tutorial

Pootles Advent Countdown #20 Triangular Table Box Tutorial

You know those crafting moments when you have the measurements set in your head, then you score all the lines and find you’ve messed up? Yeah, this was one of those!

I knew I was working with 6×6″ cardstock for the project in mind, but somehow, divided it by 3 instead of 4 and instead of making a box, I made a triangle…

Oh well, I am happy with it!!

As an aside, I still haven’t made the project I was originally designing…. one for another day I think!

It took a little tweaking to get the sides just right. At one point they were tooooooo pointed, another they were too flat. These feel about right for me!

So I shall leave you to enjoy the video, and perhaps you’ll share some happy accidents too?

S x

Dimensions when finished – 4 x 1-3/4″ (10 x 4.5cm)

Cardstock – 6×6″ (15 x 15cm)

Score on the FIRST side at 1, 5″ (2.5, 12.5cm)

Score on the SECOND side at 1-3/4, 3-1/2, 5-1/4″ (4.5, 9, 13.5cm)

MARK at 7-8, 2-5/8, 4-3/8″ (2.25, 6.75, 11.25cm) and TURN OVER the cardstock to repeat

I love the box, Sam. For a while I was searching the antique tags stamps and did not understand why I couldn’t order it. Now I know it is a hostess set that you have to ‘earn’. What a shame as I loved every stamp of the set.
We checked everything, I really don’t know why I can’t get your mails anymore.now I have to go to your site manually every morning to see whether you posted something.
Anyway, thanks for sharing another great idea

Brilliant, Sam! This will still end up hanging on my tree.

Love this box, Sam! I always try my best to wrap or re-box gifts so that the gifts remain a surprise until fully opened. This triangular shape is perfect.

Please know that I have not purposely ignored sending you photos of the fluted boxes (from South Hill Sunday, Oct 21ish.) Both my digital and phone cameras are pouting; neither will download or send photos at the moment

As always, thank you for sharing

I really like how this turned out. I also like the colored ink on the lighter shade of card stock backed by the card stock that matches the ink. Something so nice about that!
